FAQs

Do I need a referral from my vet?

At Top Dog we do not require a veterinarian referral but we strongly encourage it. That way we can update your vet and work directly with them for the best plan of care. You can download our referral form here.

How Often should my dog get physical therapy?

The full scope of treatment varies for per each canine and will depend on the “state” of your dog. We assess each dog on an individual basis and create a customized treatment plan based on their needs. Aside from the sessions, working with your dog on at-home exercise is also vital to their success.

how long are typical sessions?

The initial session where we evaluate your dog will be the longest at 60 to 90 minutes. After the initial evaluation, sessions are up to 60 minutes based on the individual needs of the dog.

do you accept pet insurance?

We do not directly accept pet insurance, however most insurance companies reimburse you for the services provided. For example you would pay Top Dog at the time of treatment and then request reimbursement through your pet insurance company at a later time. Check with your insurance company before beginning treatment.

what does the initial Evaluation look like?

The initial evaluation with your pup will be a 60 to 90 minute session. Here we will fully evaluate you dog; assessing their current condition, balance, gait, range of motion, strength, flexibility and more. From there, we develop and administer a custom treatment plan that is best suited for your dog.

can canine rehab help my dog after surgery?

Yes! We have various tools and knowledge to help reduce pain in dogs after surgery. This may consist of range of motion, modalities, joint mobilization, and soft tissue mobilization.

What is the pricing for rehabilitation?
